In the days leading up to the August long weekend, I heard the question “Do you have any exciting plans for the long weekend?” more times than I could keep track of. And we didn’t. Despite having nothing planned and no real expectations, it turned into such a wonderful weekend. We finally got a picture of Chloe in my wedding dress (before disposing of the wedding dress which was in a pretty sorry state), both kids had a couple of swimming lessons, we broke out our splash mat and water table and with Otis’ first birthday quickly approaching, we did a little cupcake smash in the backyard. We may not have a video to remember the weekend by, but we did get some super sweet pictures.
